In October 2022, my good friends Lina Erpenstein, Yannick Mittas, and I had the incredible opportunity to host the Rookie Revolution Camp on the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes. Located at Prasonisi, a spot famous for its perfect windsurfing conditions, the camp was set at the southern tip of the island, where a sandbank creates a unique double-bay setup. On one side, we had offshore winds with flat water, perfect for freestyle, and on the other, side-onshore winds and small waves—ideal for wave riding. This variety of conditions made Prasonisi the perfect location for our camp, aimed at young, up-and-coming windsurfers eager to push their skills, whether in the waves or learning freestyle tricks.

Lina, a professional wave windsurfer, myself as a professional freestyle windsurfer (at the time), and our friend Yannick, a true watersports enthusiast with expertise in multiple disciplines, formed a great teaching team. Together, we guided these talented kids through their windsurfing journey, helping them take their next steps.

Beyond coaching, I took my camera along to capture the action and fun throughout the week. We spent countless hours on the water, enjoyed delicious Greek food right at the spot, organized a beach cleanup, and shared a ton of laughs with everyone who joined. It was an action-packed, unforgettable week, and we're already looking forward to the possibility of round two in the future.
