I had the incredible opportunity to work on a project with RIVVER Surfboards, a brand known for its innovative river wave surfboards, and it took me to the sun-soaked shores of southern Portugal. There, I had the privilege of meeting the brand's shaper, Luis Carvalho, who invited me to follow along as he crafted one of his iconic surfboards from start to finish.

Visiting the factory was a truly eye-opening experience. I was able to witness firsthand the level of passion, precision, and expertise that goes into each surfboard. From shaping the foam to applying the final touches, Luis demonstrated an incredible attention to detail, transforming raw materials into high-performance boards. It was clear that every step of the process is done with deep care and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Throughout the shoot, I aimed to capture not just the technical side of the board-making process, but also the heart and soul that Luis pours into his work. It was evident in every cut, every curve, and every layer of fiberglass—each board is a true labor of love.
