One of the standout events I had the pleasure of documenting while working at Rheinriff was the Leon Glatzer Fun Contest, hosted by none other than Leon Glazer himself. Leon, a professional surfer who has competed in the Olympic Games for Team Germany, made a special visit to Rheinriff to host a fun, local surf contest for the riders of Düsseldorf.

The event was full of energy, with local surfers showing off their skills in the iconic standing wave pool. To make it even more exciting, the winner had the chance to take home a signed surfboard from Leon himself—a prize that added a personal touch to the already epic day.

It was a fantastic experience to capture the fun and competitive spirit of the event, all taking place in the heart of Düsseldorf. From the waves to the smiles, it was an unforgettable day of surfing, and I’m grateful to have been there to document it.
